How are you all people who I presume are reading this? lol Ive been alright..

Today is the second last day of the holidays and I have to be back at Tafe on Monday morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed and with the first draft of my major script in hand. Just in case you don't know me, of course I won't meet the deadline. I have honestly been trying to write and brainstorm since December last year but still haven't got what i want. My problem is I'm a perfectionist and if my work is going out there it has to be brilliant.

I do have a few ideas most of which are based around the same general concept and setting but I am lacking in a sound narrative to put in that context. I am relying on influences such as Brazil, Vanilla Sky, Bladerunner, The Matrix and the piece will have a cyberpunk feel to it. It's also based around the concept of death but its not too morbid or suicidal so don't worry. lol

I've had a good run in other ways of late. My parents just both contributed enough money to get me my first car. Its a Hyundai 1994 excel sprint and its pastel purple!! It's so perdy! My dad also just bought me a new external hard drive which will solve a lot of my problems and I can finally get all my photos out of backup!

So what else is new? I went to Queensland with my mum for a week last month and I took a lot of photos there. Most of which are a little too touristy for the likes of Deviant Art. I have uploaded all the better ones on my facebook again though.

I also recently directed a group super 8 film shoot for Tafe. We all had to submit a script and then we voted on which one we would shoot and mine go chosen! So that was good experience, although I have directed a super 8 shoot before theres no harm in doing more. We are yet to edit or even watch the rushes of that one but keep your eyes out for "shoes"

Furthermore I am once again going on film camp next week. This year I won't get to shoot my own film but I will get to crew on and supervise the first years films. Camp should be nuts!

On another note I am trying to do some more photography at the moment. I have become quite facisnated with macro photography and very shallow depth of field and I hope to experiment with some different lenses soon, film included.

I also hope to get my website off the ground soon. All I need is a domain name and unfortunately Elysium Studios is taken by a photographer in Brisbane so I will need to come up with a way to use the name and maybe put productions afterwards? I don't know.

Anyway you expect to see some random Queensland and other shots up here as well as the 60 or so better photos I took at last month's Circa Nocturna and stills galore.

And in conclusion any self respecting Beatles fan or anyone really HAS to see Across the Universe. Its my new favourite movie. I love It!!
